Browned Rice Casserole
Browned Rice Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 1 c. uncooked long grain rice, 1 can cream of onion, 1 can cream of mushroom and 1 can beef consomme, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Melt butter in skillet.
Add rice and cook over medium heat until rice is light brown.
Stir as it browns.
Pour rice and butter into ungreased 2-quart casserole.
Add soups and mushrooms and stir.
Cover; bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes.
Taste before serving and add salt, if needed.
The soup and consomme will partly season rice.
Stir every 15 minutes.
Yields 6 servings.
