Beat together Crisco and margarine.
Gradually add brown sugar, beating together until creamy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
Sift flour and sift again with addition of baking powder and salt.
Add dry ingredients alternately with milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.
Add maple flavoring.
Pour into greased and floured tube pan.
Put in a cold oven.
Turn temperature to 300Β° and bake for 1 hour or until done.
