Brown Sugar Fudge Cake
Brown Sugar Fudge Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/4 c. cake flour, sifted, 1 tsp. soda, 3/4 tsp. salt, 2 c. brown sugar, packed and 1/2 c. crisco, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Sift flour, soda and salt into bowl.
Add brown sugar, shortening, 2/3 of the buttermilk and vanilla.
Beat 2 minutes. Add the rest of the buttermilk, unbeaten eggs and melted and cooled chocolate.
Beat 2 minutes.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes or until cake tests done.
Makes 2 (9-inch) layers.
Frost with Fudge Frosting when cool.
