Brown Sugar Cookies

Together shortening and sugar until fluffy.
Add egg and vanilla and beat well. Add all other ingredients and blend well.
Drop level teaspoon of dough onto greased cookie sheet. Press cookies lightly with fork.
Bake in 350Β° oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
Makes 3 dozen.
