Brown Bag Apple Pie
Brown Bag Apple Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 large jonathan apples, 2 tbsp. lemon juice, 2 tbsp. flour, 1/2 c. sugar and 1 tsp. apple pie spice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Peel and slice apples.
Toss with next 4 ingredients and pour into pie shell.
Mix 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup flour and 1 stick margarine until crumbly.
Sprinkle over pie.
Place in a heavy large brown paper bag and fold down twice.
Fasten with three paper clips.
Bake in a 400Β° oven for 1 hour.
Do not open and peek until time to take pie from oven, as bag might catch on fire.
If left alone the pie does fine and there's nothing to worry about.
