Broken Glass Torte
Broken Glass Torte is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. each: lemon or lime, cherry or strawberry jell-o, 1 1/2 c. boiling water (for each pkg.), 1 tsp. vanilla, 1 envelope plain gelatin and 1/4 c. cold water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Dissolve the 3 packages of flavored gelatin dessert in 1 1/2 cups hot water and chill in separate cake pans until firm 1 day before.
Cut into cubes 1 1/2-inches wide.
Soften the plain gelatin in cold water and dissolve in hot pineapple juice.
Cool and fold into sweetened whipped cream.
Fold the colored Jell-O carefully into whipped cream mixture.
Turn into spring-form pan which has been lined with the ladyfingers.
Chill at least 6 hours before serving.
