Brine
Brine is an easy dinner. Made with 10 c. water (well water, spring water or distilled water), 2 c. white vinegar and 1/4 c. canning salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Bring to boil; boil for 1 minute.
Set aside to cool.
This amount is enough for one gallon.
Select cukes.
(I use pickling or straight 8's,
6 to 7-inches long or smaller.)
Leave 1/2-inch stem on.
Wash cukes with vegetable brush, making sure all foreign matter is removed.
Double check in 2nd bath.
(Cold water).
Have ready pickling spices, garlic and fresh dill.
