Brie Torte
Brie Torte is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (14 oz.) wheel ripe brie, 1/2 c. softened butter, 2 large cloves garlic, pressed, 1/3 c. finely chopped walnuts and 1/3 c. finely chopped olives, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Freeze cheese for 30 minutes or until very firm.
Cut in half horizontally and set aside.
Cream butter and garlic.
Mix walnuts, olives and basil and blend thoroughly.
Spread mixture evenly on 1/2 of cut side of cheese.
Top this cheese with the other half, cut side down.
Press together.
Wrap and chill. Bring to room temperature.
Makes 12 appetizers.
