Bread Pudding
Bread Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. bread crumbs, 1 1/2 c. milk, 3 tbsp. shortening, 1/2 c. brown sugar and 3 egg yolks, beaten (save whites), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Soak bread crumbs in milk for 1/2 hour.
Cream shortening with brown sugar and 3 beaten egg yolks.
Combine with bread crumb mixture.
Fold in egg whites beaten with sugar and vanilla.
Turn into an ungreased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
Place in shallow pan.
Add 1/2 inch of water to pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 50 to 60 minutes.
