Bread Pudding
Bread Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 qt. milk, 2 c. bread cubes (slightly stale is best), 3 eggs, 1/2 c. sugar and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Scald the milk and pour it over the bread which has been cut into 1/2-inch cubes.
Let stand 10 minutes.
Beat the eggs slightly.
Add the sugar, salt and vanilla to them.
Put into a buttered baking dish and add the milk and bread cubes. Add the melted butter and stir to mix well. Place the dish in a shallow pan of boiling water.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 1/4 hours.
Yields 6 servings.
