Bread and Butter Pickles

Combine cucumbers, onions and salt.
Cover with ice and let stand for 3 hours.
Drain and rinse.
Mix remaining ingredients. Bring to boil; add pickles and onions.
Heat thoroughly.
Do not boil!
Pack in hot pint jars and process in hot water bath for 15 minutes.
Makes 6 pints.
