Bring sugar, turmeric powder, cloves, mustard seed, celery seed and vinegar to boil.
Boil for 5 minutes.
Drop cukes in hot syrup. Bring to a boiling point.
Put in hot sterilized jars.
Seal at once.
Place on a large board and cover with heavy towel until cool.
This helps them seal tight.
