Bran Muffins
Bran Muffins is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. bran flakes or raisin bran cereal, 2 c. quick cooking oatmeal, 1 c. shortening, 2 c. hot water and 4 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Mix cereal, oatmeal, shortening and hot water until smooth. Add eggs and sugar.
Sift flour, soda and salt; add to bran mixture alternately with buttermilk.
Blend well; put in gallon jar, cover and refrigerate.
Keep 2 or 3 days before using.
Bake as needed in muffin cups about 25 minutes at 350Β°.
Will keep in refrigerator about a month.
Makes 60 to 70 muffins.
