Bourbon Balls
Bourbon Balls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 12 oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips, 1/3 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. light corn syrup, 1/2 c. bourbon and 1 2/3 c. vanilla wafers, finely crushed (about 8 oz.), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Melt chocolate chips in double boiler.
Remove from heat. Stir in granulated sugar and corn syrup, then bourbon.
Combine vanilla wafers and nuts in a bowl and add to chocolate mixture. Form into 1-inch balls and roll in powdered sugar.
If mixture becomes too hard to handle, soften slightly in double boiler. Yield: about 60 balls.
