Booze Cake
Booze Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. raisins, 1 1/2 c. water, 3/4 c. sugar, 1/2 c. butter or margarine and 1 egg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Boil the raisins in 1 1/2 cups water for 20 minutes.
Should be 3/4 cup liquid when done. Separate juice from raisins and cool. Cream the sugar and butter. Add egg and keep on beating. Alternately add flour, spices and liquid until well mixed.
Fold in nuts and raisins.
Bake in a 9-inch square greased pan or 7 x 11-inch pan at 350Β° until done. Frost with plain butter frosting.
