Boiled Custard
Boiled Custard is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 gal. sweet milk, 6 egg yolks, 1 c. sugar (full measure), 2 tbsp. flour and 1 tbsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Heat the milk in double boiler until forms a skim (light).
While the milk is heating, beat the egg yolks well, then add the sugar and flour, been mixed well. When the milk is hot, remove the skim.
Add the egg and sugar mixture slowly, stirring constantly.
This has cooked long enough to lightly the spoon, it is done.
Add vanilla.
(Optional, you can add beaten egg whites into this.)
