Blackberry Or Jam Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 c. butter or margarine, 4 eggs, 2 tsp. soda, 3 c. flour and 1/2 c. raisins, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add beaten eggs and jam, beating until smooth.
Add soda to buttermilk and beat into first mixture alternately with flour which has been sifted with spices.
Add raisins and nuts, pour into three 8-inch well-greased cake pans and bake at 350Β° for 40 to 50 minutes or until cake tests done.
