Black Forrest Cheesecake
Black Forrest Cheesecake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (9 oz.) pkg. chocolate wafers, 3/4 stick butter, cut in pieces, 1 1/2 c. whipping cream, 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, chopped and 1 lb. cream cheese (at room temperature), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Butter 9-inch pan.
Finely crush cookies.
Cut in butter until mixture is well blended.
Press crumbs into bottom of pan and up sides to 3/4-inch of top.
Refrigerate 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Heat whipping cream and chocolate over low heat until melted.
Cool 10 minutes.
Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
Beat in eggs.
Add chocolate and vanilla.
Stir well. Pour into crust.
Bake 1 1/4 hours.
Cool completely.
Serve with cherry pie filling and whipped cream.
