Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sifted flour, 4 tsp. baking powder, 3/4 tsp. salt, 1/4 c. shortening or butter and 2/3 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Sift all dry ingredients together; cut in shortening or butter until mixture resembles coarse corn meal.
Add milk and mix briefly or until dry ingredients are moistened.
Place on a floured board and knead gently about 10 times; roll out to about 1/2-inch thickness.
Place on baking sheet and bake at 450Β° for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Yield: 2 dozen biscuits.
