Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 1/3 c. shortening, 2 c. self-rising flour and 2/3 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Preheat oven to 450Β°.
Mix shortening and flour thoroughly in a bowl.
Stir in enough milk to make a soft puffy easy to roll dough.
(Too much milk makes dough sticky; not enough makes biscuits dry.)
Knead lightly 25 to 30 times.
Roll 1/2-inch thick.
Cut with biscuit cutter and place on greased cookie sheet. Bake until brown.
