Biscuits
Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 1 c. self-rising flour, 1/3 c. buttermilk, 3 tbsp. melted shortening and 1/3 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Melt shortening in small pan; set aside.
Mix flour, buttermilk and melted shortening.
Mix, adding water slowly (the dough will be soft).
Place dough on floured wax paper and knead (just a few times).
Roll out and cut with biscuit cutter.
Place a small amount of melted shortening in baking pan and place biscuits in pan.
Brush top of each biscuit with melted shortening.
Bake for about 15 minutes, or until bottoms are brown. Broil to brown tops.
Makes about 6 biscuits.
