Berna'S Holiday Oatmeal Cookies(Yields 7 To 8 Dozen) is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. soda, 1 c. margarine and 1 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Sift together flour, salt and soda; work butter in bowl.
Add sugars, eggs and vanilla gradually; add dry ingredients to butter mixture.
Mix until smooth.
Stir in 3 cups oats and other ingredients, except 1/2 cup oats.
Shape into a roll and roll it in 1/2 cup oats.
Wrap and chill overnight.
Slice roll into cookies and place on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350Β° for 10 to 12 minutes.
