Berline's Lemon Pie
Berline'S Lemon Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. flour, 2 beaten egg yolks, 1 1/2 c. boiling hot water and 2 lemons, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
In the top of a double boiler, mix sugar and flour together. Add beaten egg yolks to mixture, stirring often.
Add boiling water and lemon juice or flavoring.
Continue to stir until mixture gets really thick.
Make sure the bottom of double boiler has plenty of water in it, but not enough to cause steam to rise while stirring ingredients.
Pour into cooked pie shell.
