Beer Cheese Soup
Beer Cheese Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 1 c. flour, 4 c. hot chicken broth (canned), 1 1/2 c. half and half and 16 oz. cheez whiz, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

In a heavy pan, melt butter and flour.
Mix until completely blended.
Heat over low flame for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add chicken broth and cream.
Mix until smooth and thick.
Add cheese and mix until all cheese is melted and soup is smooth.
Add beer and Worcestershire sauce and mix.
Mix in color and chives.
Simmer about 15 minutes, stirring constantly.
Serve piping hot with popcorn if desired.
