Beef Stew
Beef Stew is an impressive soup you can prepare in about 1 hour 10 minutes. Made with round steak, cut up (or lean stew meat), potatoes, diced, carrots, sliced, celery (use heart with leaves) and c. pearl onions, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Trim fat from meat and cut in bite-size pieces.
Coat meat in flour and brown meat in oil.
When meat is brown, add instant beef broth and 4 or 5 cups water.
Cook in crock-pot for 3 hours or until meat is tender.
When meat is tender, add rest of vegetables, celery salt, garlic powder, seasoned salt and onion powder.
When vegetables are tender, thicken broth to make gravy.
