Beef Stew
Beef Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. beef chuck, cut into 1 1/2-inch cubes, 1 small can tomato sauce, 2 c. water, 1/4 tsp. thyme and 6 diced carrots, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Flour meat cubes.
Put in thick pan with 2 tablespoons fat and brown.
Pour in liquid, cover tightly and cook over low heat until almost tender (about 1 1/2 hours).
Add spices and raw vegetables; cook 30 to 45 minutes longer.
Just before vegetables are tender, add the peas.
Serves 6.
