Beef Stew

Put salt, pepper, flour and meat into paper bag and shake, being sure to coat meat well.
Brown meat in heavy skillet; drain off any grease.
Add water, broth, bay leaf, onions, tomato sauce and sherry.
Bring to a boil and simmer 1 1/2 hours.
