Beef Macaroni Italiano is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. elbow macaroni, 1 tbsp. margarine, 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour, 1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes, cut up and 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook macaroni and drain.
In saucepan, melt butter; blend in flour.
Stir in undrained tomatoes, tomato sauce, onion soup mix, oregano, salt and pepper.
Cook until bubbly.
Brown ground beef; drain.
Stir in sauce.
Add macaroni.
Spoon mixture into a 1 1/2-quart casserole.
Top with cheese.
Bake, uncovered, at 350Β° for 20 minutes.
