Bean Soup
Bean Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. dry beans, 1/2 lb. boiling meat, 2 qt. water, 1 qt. milk and 1 onion, sliced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Wash and soak beans overnight.
Boil meat with vegetables in the water until very tender; remove.
Add beans and cook until all to pieces.
Put through a strainer to remove skins.
Cut meat into tiny pieces.
Add to bean pulp.
Put in hot milk and seasoning. Serve piping hot.
Vegetables are used for seasoning.
Any dry beans or peas may be used.
One can of tomatoes may also be used.
