Battletown Inn Squash
Battletown Inn Squash is an easy dinner. Made with 7 small summer squash, 1 small onion, chopped, 1/2 c. cream or milk, 8 saltine crackers (1/4 c. crushed) and 2 tbsp. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Boil squash, then boil in salted water until tender.
Drain and mash squash, then drain again in sieve, pushing all liquid out.
Saute the onion in butter but don't brown.
Add crumbs, milk and drained squash.
Season with salt and pepper.
Pour in greased casserole.
Top with dots of butter and fine bread crumbs.
