Barbecued London Broil
Barbecued London Broil is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 to 2 1/2 lb. flank steak, meat tenderizer (unseasoned), 3/4 c. canned tomato sauce, 1/4 c. molasses and 3 tbsp. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Treat meat with tenderizer according to jar directions.
Mix remaining ingredients for sauce.
Place flank steak on broiler pan without rack.
Pour half the sauce over meat.
Broil 5 minutes, basting once with sauce. Turn meat over.
Broil 5 minutes more for rare; 7 for medium.
Baste with remaining sauce. Cut into thin slices crosswise against grain on diagonal.
