Barbecued Green Beans
Barbecued Green Beans is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen cut green beans, partially thawed, 1 tsp. sugar, 4 thin lemon slices, 1/2 c. water chestnuts, sliced and 2 tbsp. sliced green onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Place green beans on a large square of double thickness foil. Season with sugar and pepper, if desired.
Top with lemon slices. Sprinkle with water chestnuts and green onion.
Dot with margarine.
Bring edges of foil up and, leaving a little space for expansion of steam, seal securely with a double fold.
Grill over slow coals, turning once, for 35 to 40 minutes or until beans are tender.
Makes 6 to 8 servings.
