Barbecue Spareribs
Barbecue Spareribs is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 to 3 lb. spareribs, 1 onion, chopped, 3 tbsp. brown sugar, 3 tbsp. vinegar and 1 tsp. mustard, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

In heavy frypan, brown ribs in 3 to 4 tablespoons shortening. (Cast-iron Dutch oven is excellent.)
Put all other ingredients in 2-quart pan and bring to a full boil, stirring occasionally. Place all ribs in frypan and cover with sauce.
Bake at 325Β° for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until tender; baste occasionally.
