Banana Split Dessert
Banana Split Dessert is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 sticks butter or margarine, 2 c. crushed vanilla wafers, 2 c. powdered sugar, 1 tsp. vanilla and 1/4 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Melt 1 stick of butter; mix with crushed vanilla wafers. Press in bottom of dish.
Mix powdered sugar, vanilla, 2 sticks soft butter and sugar with mixer at high speed for 2 minutes. Spread on top of crust.
Sprinkle with Fruit-Fresh.
Add sliced bananas; sprinkle again with Fruit-Fresh.
Add drained pineapple; spread Cool Whip on top.
Sprinkle with nuts and cherries. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours.
