Purée the bananas in food processor.
Add the sugar, eggs, oil and vanilla and process just until blended.
Add flour, salt, baking soda and nutmeg.
Mix until combined.
Add nuts and currants.
Pour into greased and floured pans.
Bake at 325° for 60 to 70 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
Let cool in pan for 10 minutes.
Remove from pan and cool completely.
