Banana Nut Bread
Banana Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. sugar, 1/3 c. shortening, 2 large eggs, 3 tbsp. sour milk (1 tbsp. vinegar and 2 tbsp. milk) and 1 generous c. mashed bananas, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Mix together thoroughly sugar, shortening and eggs.
Stir in sour milk and banana.
Sift together and stir in flour, baking powder and soda.
Add walnuts and pour into well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Let stand 20 minutes before baking.
Preheat oven to 350Β° and bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
Toothpick inserted in center will come out clean.
Cool in pan for 10 to 15 minutes, then wrap in foil and refrigerate.
