Banana Nut Bread
Banana Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. shortening, 3/4 c. sugar, 1 egg, 1 tbsp. lemon juice and 2 c. sifted flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Cream the shortening and sugar.
Add egg and beat well.
Add dry ingredients, mixing well.
Stir in bananas, lemon juice and nuts.
Fill 3 well-greased No. 2 tin cans one-half full or 1 (9 x 5 x 3-inch) loaf pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 60 to 70 minutes.
Remove from pan or cans.
Cool on rack.
Yields 3 small loaves or 1 large loaf.
