Banana Nut Bread
Banana Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. butter or margarine, softened, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 1/2 c. bananas (3 medium), crushed, 2 eggs, beaten and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Cream butter and sugar thoroughly.
Blend in bananas, eggs and vanilla.
Sift together flour, soda and salt.
Add to banana mixture, alternating with buttermilk.
Mix thoroughly after each addition.
Add nuts; mix and pour into greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
Bake 1 hour and 15 minutes at 325Β° or until done.
I put the soda into the buttermilk and dredge the nuts in flour before adding to mixture.
