Banana Nut Bread
Banana Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. sugar, 1 c. shortening, 3 eggs, 1 1/2 c. mashed banana and 3 c. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream the shortening and sugar.
Add eggs one at a time.
Add mashed banana and vanilla.
Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk and nuts.
Put into two 9 x 5-inch loaf pans and bake 45 to 50 minutes at 350Β°.
Cool for 10 minutes, then remove from pan.
Slice when cold.
Keeps moist when tightly wrapped.
Freezes well.
