Banana Nut Bread
Banana Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. sugar, 1/2 c. shortening, 2 eggs, 2 c. all-purpose flour and 1 tsp. soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cream sugar, shortening and eggs until light.
Spoon flour into dry measuring cup.
Add soda and salt to flour.
Stir to blend.
Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with banana and lemon juice.
Stir until all ingredients are moistened. Stir in nuts.
Spread in well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350Β° for 55 to 60 minutes.
Remove from pan immediately. Cool on rack.
