Banana Chocolate Bars
Banana Chocolate Bars is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. flour, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt, 2/3 c. shortening and 2/3 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Sift together dry ingredients.
Cream together shortening, sugar and brown sugar.
Beat in vanilla and egg. Blend in bananas and then flour mixture. Stir in chocolate pieces.
Spread in greased and floured 10 1/2 x 15 1/2-inch jelly roll pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool in pan 15 minutes. Cut into 30 bars.
Store tightly covered.
