Banana Cake
Banana Cake is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/4 c. sugar, 1/2 c. (1 stick) butter, 1/2 tsp. nutmeg, 2 eggs and 1 c. mashed ripe bananas (2 or 3 medium), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Cream together sugar, butter and nutmeg until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Stir in bananas and vanilla.
Combine flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Beat into creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
Stir in nuts.
Spread batter in greased 13 x 9-inch pan.
Bake in 350Β° oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool on rack.
Frost with Cream Cheese Frosting.
