Banana-Bran Bread
Banana-Bran Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/4 c. shortening, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 well beaten egg, 1 c. bran (all-bran or flakes) and 2 tbsp. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs, then bran. Combine water and bananas (in blender if possible).
Add alternately with dry ingredients.
Mix thoroughly and add vanilla and nuts.
Use a 5 x 9-inch greased pan.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 hour.
I use these as muffins.
Makes 12 medium.
