Baked Savory Chicken
Baked Savory Chicken is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 to 6 split chicken breasts or 1 cut up chicken, 1/2 c. chopped celery, 1 medium onion, chopped, 1/4 c. parsley (fresh or dried) and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Wash chicken parts and cut away excess fat and skin.
Place in a large Pyrex baking dish, as bottom layer.
Combine all remaining ingredients except almonds and cover all the chicken with this sauce.
Bake for 1 hour at 350Β°.
In the last 15 minutes, sprinkle on the sliced almonds.
Add 1/4 cup bread crumbs, if desired. Return all to oven for 15 minutes more, until light brown.
