Baked Apple Custard
Baked Apple Custard is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 (21 oz.) can apple pie filling, 4 eggs, 1/4 c. sugar, 2 c. milk and nutmeg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Spoon apple pie filling into bottom of 1 1/2 quart baking dish.
Beat eggs slightly.
Add sugar and salt.
Mix well.
Scald milk.
Add slowly stirring constantly.
Add vanilla.
Pour over pie filling.
Sprinkle with nutmeg.
Set in pan of cold water. Bake at 325Β° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
Chill.
Serve with any favorite sauce.
