Dissolve yeast and 1/8 cup sugar in warm water; let rise until foamy.
When cool, add yeast to mixture made by combining the warm milk to 1 1/2 cups flour.
Let rise until foamy.
While this is rising, beat the egg yolks until foamy and of thick yellow consistency.
Add the rum and oleo; beat until well mixed.
Add 1 cup sugar; beat until thick.
Add the lemon rind.
(This should be fluffy and thick; set aside.)
