Autumn Festival Fluff
Autumn Festival Fluff is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs, 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed, 1/2 c. crunchy peanut butter, 4 tbsp. margarine, melted and 1/4 c. confectioners sugar, sifted, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Combine first four ingredients and mix until crumbly.
Mix together confectioners sugar and 1/3 cup peanut butter and set aside.
Whip together cream cheese and sugar.
Fold into whipped topping and set aside.
Place 2/3 of graham cracker crumb mixture in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Pour 1/2 of the cream cheese-whipped topping mixture over crumbs; spread the apple pie filling over all. Sprinkle with cinnamon to taste.
Over this, spread 2/3 of the sugar-peanut butter mixture with remainder of ingredients.
Repeat layer of cheese, whipped topping mixture, then remaining cracker crumb mixture and top with remainder of peanut butter and sugar mixture.
Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours or overnight.
Cut into squares and serve.
Yields 24 squares.
