Aunt Rosie's Raisin Cake
Aunt Rosie'S Raisin Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. raisins, 2 c. water, 1 stick oleo, 1 egg, beaten and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cook raisins in water for 10 minutes.
(Use saucepan big enough to mix cake in.)
Take off fire.
Add oleo that has been cut in fourths.
When cold, put in beaten egg and vanilla.
Then add sugar, flour, soda and salt.
Beat until smooth.
Put in pan and bake at 350Β° for 35 minutes or until it tests done in center. Nuts may be added.
When cool, sprinkle with powdered sugar or frost with favorite icing.
