Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
Add remaining shortening, vanilla and/or almond flavoring and pineapple juice. Beat for 3 minutes.
Then add eggs and water.
Beat 2 minutes longer.
Bake at 350Β° for 25 minutes for 3 to 4 layers or 35 minutes if in a large flat pan.
