Atlanta Pork Chop Casserole
Atlanta Pork Chop Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 center cut pork chops, 1 c. brown sugar, 1 medium onion, chopped, 1/2 c. thinly sliced celery and 1 1/2 c. long grain rice (uncooked), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Brown pork chops both sides in electric skillet, take out, then saute onion and celery in butter.
Take out, then brown rice.
Then add to rice, tomato sauce, brown sugar and sauteed seasonings. Simmer for 5 minutes, then add pork chops on top.
Lay bay leaves on top.
Cover and cook for 30 minutes at low temperature on simmer.
You can add water if needed.
Remove bay leaves before serving.
